Faith Havick

President/Thrift Store Director

Faith Havick currently works part-time as the Title 1 Coordinator at DMA.  She started her career in a teaching position in northern New Hampshire teaching 2nd and 3rd grade.   After experiencing too many cold winters her entire life she decided to move to Arizona to soak up the sun.  Faith made a career transition into the Human Resource organization training adults which lead over the years into an executive position supporting the business in all functional areas of HR.  Faith’s thirty plus years in Human Resources took her journey around the world, moving to many cities throughout the US and living among the Scots outside Glasgow, Scotland leaving her filled with great memories, many diverse cultural experiences and deep gratitude.  Upon moving to St George, rest and relaxation were short lived as she was drawn to the Montessori philosophy in hopes to return full circle teaching children.  Because of her love for animals she also chose to volunteer in the PAWS office.  She supported the PAWS Golf Annual Golf Tournament and finally accepted a position on the PAWS Board of Directors.

Debbie and her husband, Don, retired from the legal profession in 2010. They moved to St. George from Houston, Texas, where Debbie served 16 years as a State District Judge and 11 years as a prosecutor.

During her tenure as judge, she not only presided over hundreds of felony jury trials, but also served as Administrative Judge for the Harris County Criminal Courts Division. As an assistant district attorney, she served stints as both a trial and appellate prosecutor. Her responsibilities included representing the State of Texas in felony criminal proceedings, training and supervising junior attorneys, and conducting grand jury presentations.

Debbie now helps provide the link between P.A.W.S. and the community as a member of the St. George Chamber of Commerce. She also volunteers at the “PAWSitvely Unique Boutique” thrift store. She loves to spend time with her husband and her cats and enjoys the fresh air and sunshine in southern Utah.

Burger, Lynn

Lynn Burger

Lynn Burger is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated with a BS in Accounting from DePaul University. Lynn worked for Chicago Title & Trust for 20 years, holding various accounting and management positions. When her husband took early retirement in 1994, they moved to St. George, Utah. They enjoyed traveling the west and visiting new places for the first few years. Then in 2008, Lynn started volunteering with P.A.W.S., manning the office for four hours a week. Lynn has said that once you start working in the world of animal rescue, your passion takes over, and the animals in need pull you in. It is the most rewarding experience. She has served on the P.A.W.S. Board since 2010. Lynn and her husband have opened their home to over 100 foster kittens, cats, and dogs over the years.

Hoffmann, Regan

Regan Hoffmann

Member at Large

Originally from Wisconsin, Regan graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelors Degree in Spanish in 2000. She met her husband while working in Madison, Wisconsin, and they relocated to the Appleton area shortly thereafter. Regan has been employed by Kimberly-Clark Corporation since 2003, holding various positions, and is currently a database administrator supporting SQL Server and Netezza databases. In 2013 Regan moved her family to St. George so that her three daughters could be closer to their maternal grandparents, who had retired to Mesquite years earlier. She was blessed with being able to keep her job and work from home. Knowing that it would be difficult to feel like part of the community if she didn’t get involved somewhere as a volunteer, she immediately searched for animal rescue organizations and came across P.A.W.S. She has been volunteering and fostering for P.A.W.S. since 2013 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2015.
